I’ve never been a huge fan of the “Most wonderful time of the year.” I think it largely has to do with the idea that everyone’s supposed to be kind and nice, and all you get are people who are angry, greedy, and willing to trample someone in WalMart to get that $30 television.
My family also has a problem with this time of the year being difficult. We’ve had some family drama go down a couple years in a row right before Christmas, and a family member died on Christmas about 10 years ago.
That’s not to say I don’t like some parts of the season. I love yo give gifts, and I try hard to make sure what I give people is something they’d like. And I think that I’ve found most of my Christmas items, finally.
Pet and I went Christmas shopping today, and with the exception of one family, I think we’re done. This is good, we accomplished 70% of our shopping in one day, and another 20% or so another day. Seriously, one order in the next day or two, and we’ll be done.
Some gifts are fun, and some are practical, but I hope everyone enjoys them.
Do you want a gift from me? If you live in the United States, you can get one! Come over to this post, and leave a comment. The first 5 people to do so will get a free gift from me 🙂
